Statement of Heritage Significance:

Architecture/Environment:
The homestead has a pressed metal exterior, corrugated iron gambrel roof and wrap around bullnose verandah. The original wooden turned verandah posts have been replaced by iron posts mounted on cement blocks. Other modifications include a triple glass panelled door replacing a double hung window, removal of brick chimney stacks, and enclosed side verandah. However the homestead remains in much the original form. Of note is the panelled doorway with side and top leadlight glass.

History:
The house was constructed by HD Nichols, who settled the property after it was resumed from Avoca. The original holding was same 17,000 acres. The current owners have built a new dwelling and this remains vacant, but in good care.
