Statement of Heritage Significance:

Architecture/Environment:
An ornate single storey brick structure displaying a series of double round headed windows. These windows are hooded with stilted arches with keystones and divided by doric style pilasters. The building corners and entranceway are bordered with tall doric pilasters. The entranceway is highlighted by a large romanesque arch with keystone surrounding a moulded panel. A plain parapet wall sits above a mouldered string course adorned with dentils. A side awning is supported by chamfered posts and decorated with a timber criss-cross frieze. The post office is one of the most prominent structures in Wentworth and importantly compliments the surrounding heritage items of Darling Street.
