Looking at running an event in the Wentworth Shire?

Wentworth Shire Council are looking to launch their new Event Funding Policy in the near future.

The Event Funding Policy will allow event organisers to apply for funding to host a local event, with the aim of utilising local businesses to deliver the event.

This will bring an increase to economic growth for the region and continue to grow the Wentworth Shire event calendar.

But first, Council are seeking feedback from the local community.

Please review the draft Event Funding Policy document below and provide your feedback by 5pm, Thursday 13 March 2025.

Feedback can be submitted to Wentworth Shire Council via email to council@wentworth.nsw.gov.au or by mail (PO Box 81, Wentworth NSW 2648).

Submissions must:

  • clearly identify the matter to which the submission relates
  • state the grounds for any support or objection expressed in the submission
  • Include appropriate contact details
