Plan ahead for your chance to bag a swag this summer

Council is supporting the Transport for NSW Plan B – Win A Swag initiative, encouraging everyone to plan how they will get home safely if they choose to drink while celebrating this summer.

The campaign highlights that even a few drinks can affect your driving. By planning a safe way home, you will be making the right choice for yourself and others on the road.

Throughout December and January, patrons at participating venues across western NSW can scan a QR code and enter for the chance to win a swag valued at around $250 by simply sharing their Plan B for getting home safely.

Participating venues in Wentworth Shire
A total of nine venues across our region are taking part:

Wentworth

• Royal Hotel
• Captain Sturt Hotel
• Wentworth Bowling Club

Buronga / Gol Gol
• Gol Gol Hotel
• Midway Marketplace IGA (bottle shop)

Coomealla
• Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club

Monak
• Monak Wines – cellar door

Pooncarie
• Pooncarie Hotel

Having a Plan B could be as simple as leaving the car at home and catching a bus or cab, choosing a designated driver, calling a friend for a lift or staying somewhere safe overnight.
