COVID-19 Update

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Given the global situation with COVID-19, our regions’ libraries are taking measured precautions to ensure we keep our staff and our community safe, and are closely following the advice provided by the Federal and State health authorities.

From Wednesday 18th March, all library programs and activities will be suspended until further notice. This includes activities for children such as toddler story times and after school activities, and programs for adults such as social sewing, tai chi and author talks. The three branch libraries will remain open for the time being, but this may change at short notice. In order to ameliorate the effects of any possible library closures we have increased the maximum loans from 10 to 20 and the number of allowed renewals from 2 to 4, and have removed fines for any overdue items. If you want to return items, but do not wish to enter the library, please use the external return bins.

The library also has a range of online services, such as eBooks, downloadable audiobooks and magazines which can be accessed from home using your library card – here
