Wentworth Shire Council is in the process of partially reviewing the Buronga Gol Gol Structure Plan.
The Buronga Gol Gol Structure Plan documents will constitute a non-statutory planning framework that provides broad and holistic strategic direction for a range of land use and development decisions.
The plan will also provide guidance to the community, government, business and development industry about appropriate directions and opportunities for change as a reflection of the community’s values and aspirations.
The Structure Plan will largely draw on the community’s agreed vision for the Buronga Gol Gol area with respect to housing, infrastructure, community facilities and environmental management to achieve quality and sustainable urban development in the area.

Council has ran a series of community consultation sessions:
- Friday 8 May 2026 08:00 am to 10:30 am: Drop in Session Gol Gol Cafe
- Friday 15 May 2026 08:00 am to 10:30 am: Drop-in Session Buronga Bakery
- Thursday 21 May 2026 03:30 pm to 06:00 pm: Drop-in Session Midway Buronga
The exhibition documents will be on display from 25 April 2026 to 30 May 2026.
If you wish to make a written submission, either by email, via councils engage website, in person or post, submissions are to be received by 11:59 pm, Saturday 30 May 2026. Any submissions received may be made public unless a request to withhold is made.
