Junction Island Bridge – Community Feedback Requested

Council want to hear your thoughts & feedback on the finished design and layout of this project. An initial community consultation session was held in 2016 – this will be an opportunity to hear from the community post project completion.

The Junction Island Bridge replacement project was funded through the Resources for Regions program, which was aimed to support the ongoing prosperity of mining communities in regional NSW by providing economic opportunities and improving local amenity and positive social outcomes for local communities.

The new Junction Island bridge and footpath will improve accessibility to Junction Island, allowing residents and visitors to explore this unique natural environment. The project spans over 1,100 metres, featuring informative signage that highlights the rich ecological and cultural significance of Junction Island.
