The Raw Water Pump Station for Dareton is back to full operation.

Wentworth Shire Council would like to thank the Dareton community for its patience over the past few days to minimise raw water consumption while the urgent repairs were carried out.

Raw Water at reduced capacity

The Raw Water Pump Station for Dareton is currently operational but at a reduced capacity.

It is requested that where possible the use of raw water by the Dareton community is minimised.

Wentworth Shire Council is looking to get the Raw Water Pump Station fully operational in the coming days.

Further updates will be provided.

Please note that filtered water supply is not impacted for Dareton.

Urgent repairs to Raw Water Pump Station

The Raw Water Pump Station for Dareton requires urgent repairs today (Tuesday 25 February 2025), as such raw water supply for Dareton will have significantly reduced pressure.

Wentworth Shire Council is looking to get the pump station back operational as soon as possible. 

An update will be provided later in the day.

Please note that filtered water supply is not impacted for Dareton.

Wentworth Filtered Water – Low Pressure Pipeline Break

A filtered water pipeline break has occurred overnight on the corner of Beverly and Adelaide Streets in Wentworth.

Wentworth Shire Council’s Water team have isolated the break and repairs are underway.

The pipeline break has resulted in low water pressure throughout Wentworth. The filtered water tower is currently refilling.

Pressure will gradually return over the coming hours and normal pressure should return by mid-afternoon.

Raw water supply in Wentworth is not impacted.
