Proposed Partial Road Closing at Gol Gol

In pursuance of the provisions of section 38B of the Roads Act 1993, notice is hereby given that Wentworth Shire Council
proposes to close a section of the council public road (Potters Drive) listed in Schedule 1. 

Schedule 1:

The proposed area of closure is shown by the black hatching in the above diagram.

Upon the closure of a portion of Potters Drive, Council intends to dispose of the surplus land, reducing the road reserve approaching the Gol Gol Creek.

All interested persons are hereby invited to make submissions concerning the proposal to the General Manager, Wentworth Shire Council, PO Box 81, Wentworth NSW 2648 or by email to council@wentworth.nsw.gov.au within twenty-eight (28) days of the date of this advertisement (10 October 2026). Please note that under the provisions of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, such submissions may be referred to third parties for consideration.

Once the submission period is completed by 13 November 2026, the Wentworth Shire Council will formally consider all duly made submissions before deciding whether to continue with the road closure proposal.
