Team Leader Library Services

 Council currently has a great opportunity for an experienced, creative and dynamic person to lead our Library Team.  The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate high level communication skills, a commitment to customer service, and a proven understanding of the importance of meeting community needs.  They will have strong technology and digital literacy skills and excellent administration skills.  They will be a leader with vision who inspires collaboration and teamwork.

This position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a three month probationary period and has a commencement salary of $72,700 per annum including superannuation.  The successful applicant may be required to undergo a fit for work assessment.

Customer Service Officer

Council is seeking an enthusiastic individual committed to the provision of service excellence. As a member of the Customer Service Team you will be responsible for providing high quality customer service and administrative support on a daily basis to meet the needs of internal and external customers.  You will enjoy a dynamic and busy work environment with previous experience in public relations and/or records management being highly regarded. 


This position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a three month probationary period and has a commencement salary of $52,971.28 per annum including superannuation.  The successful applicant may be required to undergo a fit for work assessment.

Manager Assets

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining Council’s Asset Management System and associated plans as well as coordinate and manage reserves, acquisitions and related land matters.


Experience in the Asset Management / Infrastructure field as well as a tertiary qualification in civil engineering or associated discipline is essential.


This position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a three month probationary period and has a commencement salary of $102,634.35 per annum including superannuation.  The successful applicant may be required to undergo a fit for work assessment.

Assistant Team Leader Roads

Closing Date: 4.00pm Thursday 29 June 2017

A permanent full time role has become available within the Road Construction and Maintenance Team as Assistant Team Leader Roads.  In this role you will assist the Team Leader in the day to day supervision of the Works staff, including the preparation of work schedules and be responsible for the operation of the Roads team and associated plant and equipment.   This position requires you to have the ability to interact in a professional manner, as a representative of the values of Wentworth Shire, with colleagues, stakeholders and residents.  The incumbent will be required to lead and direct daily operations, and monitor and motivate performance against work outcomes.

This position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a three month probationary period and has a commencement salary of $60,743.59 including superannuation.  The successful applicant may be required to undergo a fit for work assessment.
