What are they?
The markets are aimed to be a family-friendly, community-based event held in different locations around the Shire to promote shopping local and advertised to be a fun day out with live music, kids activities and food for all ages.

When?
The markets are to be held on various dates throughout the year, which are subject to change in line with other scheduled events within the region.

Who runs it?
The Wentworth Shire Council trialled markets throughout 2022 & 2023 to determine the popularity and success of hosting markets within the region. Determinants included stallholder and community interest, timing of the markets and the location they were held at.

Due to the success, Wentworth Shire Council will continue to run the markets in each area and encourage new and existing stallholders to take part.

How does it work?
Stallholder / Food Vendor applications are open to the public and are advertised via newspaper and online social pages. To register, please complete this form and return it to events@wentworth.nsw.gov.au.

What do you get?
Stallholders will have the choice to book a single 3m x 3m site, or a double 6m x 3m site.

Food Vendor sites may vary and are to be discussed with event organisers prior to submitting their application.

Stallholders / Food Vendors will receive an allocated area on a site map that will be distributed during the week leading up to the event.

Rules:
 Sites cannot be transferred to other vendors without Council consent.
 The markets may be cancelled at any time due to safety reasons or extreme weather conditions.
 There is a ‘no-show no-refund’ policy.
 Stallholders MUST bring weights or pegs for their marquees. Without weights or pegs, stallholders will not be allowed to install their marquee.
 No cars are to be parked on stallholders’ sites and are to be removed from the area after setup.
 There will be a designated member of the Wentworth Shire Council at each market day wearing high vis who will be responsible for the operation of the market.
 Stallholders are to provide their own display tables and chairs.
 All Stallholders are to adhere to the OH&S induction instructions for the safety of everyone on the day.
 All stallholders are to obtain their own public liability, otherwise increased site fees will apply.
 Each Stallholder is responsible for the clean-up and pack-up of their designated area at the end of the event.
 All food vendors must complete a Temporary Event Food Provider Application Form and have their own public liability when submitting an application.

Buskers and Entertainers:
We encourage any entertainers to get in touch with us prior to the markets, acoustic
sound and a musical background is required.

Fees & Cancellations

Full payment is due upon returning this form. Stallholder payments can be made in
person or over the phone to the Wentworth Visitor Information Centre.
Registration fees are non-refundable. Cancelling your reservation prior to the expression
of interest closure date will result in your registration fees issued as a credit, to put
toward future markets.

Food Vendors

Food Vendors are required to pay a $100 bond upon submitting their application. Bonds
will be refundable up until the expressions of interest date closure. Bonds are to be paid
directly to Wentworth Shire Council office, 61 Darling Street, Wentworth. 03) 5027
5027.
Cancelling your reservation after the expression of interest closure date, or failing to
show on the day, will result in forfeiting the full charge of the site fee and bond paid.

3. At this time, you will need to provide a copy of your Public Liability Insurance (if
applicable) and submit it via the above email address.
4. All of which will need to be completed and returned before the expressions of
interest closure dates advertised to reserve your site

Wentworth Shire Council uses photographs of community members in its publications and marketing, on its website and Facebook pages. Please sign this release form to grant Wentworth Shire Council permission to use photographs of yourself or your child.

Note: Photographic images will be stored within a secure database and accessed only for the purposes outlined above.

Acknowledgement

By signing this form, you grant Wentworth Shire Council permission to photograph your children at Council and Library run events and permit them to share the imagery on Social Media pages and promotional advertising where appropriate. If you no longer wish for your children to be photographed, please contact Council or the Library which you lodge this form.
