Safe Towing Workshops and Professional Vehicle Weighing Sessions

Wentworth Shire Council is offering free Safe Towing Workshops and professional Vehicle Weighing Sessions to assist local residents in maintaining safe, legally compliant towing setups.

Are You Towing Safely and Legally?

Before setting off on your next trip, consider the following:

  • Is your towing vehicle truly suitable for the load you are pulling?

  • Do you understand your vehicle’s weight limits, including axles, towbar mass, and load distribution?

  • Is your combination performing as safely and efficiently as it could?

Whether you tow a caravan, boat, horse float, or trailer, understanding these factors is essential for road safety and keeping your insurance valid. Non-compliance can lead to voided insurance policies, heavy fines, and demerit points.

What previous participants say:

“Even though we have had caravans for over 20 years, we learnt and discovered things today we didn’t know. We’d recommend the workshop to all our friends.”

“It just goes to show there’s always something new to learn. I’ve now recommended friends attend the next session.”
