EOI – Explore Local Experience More – Wentworth Shire Council

Wentworth Shire Council is excited to begin rolling out our “Explore Local, Experience More” campaign, an initiative designed to encourage people to get out, explore the region, and support local businesses within Wentworth Shire from mid-September through to January 2027.

The campaign is not only aimed at attracting visitors from further afield, but also encouraging locals and those within our broader day-trip radius to rediscover Wentworth Shire. Whether that’s for a coffee, meal, shopping trip, weekend drive, event, or overnight stay.

We know our region is full of incredible businesses, experiences, and hidden gems, and this campaign is about celebrating them while helping strengthen our local economy and visitor industry.

We are inviting local businesses of Wentworth Shire to express their interest in the campaign. Participation may include:

Physical promotional materials such as posters, window decals, bookmarks, tent cards, drink coasters, and stickers
Digital promotional materials such as email and website banners and social media tiles
Promotion across Experience Wentworth social media channels
Inclusion in broader local and regional campaign activity encouraging people to shop local and explore more of the region
A radio campaign on HIT 99.5 and Triple M to support your businesses, and as part of that we are proud to partner with the stations to offer you a special deal as per attached to promote your own business and bolster the campaign

Wentworth Shire Council will provide the campaign promotional materials to participating businesses at no charge, making it easy for businesses to get involved and help promote the campaign throughout the region. By being involved, your business can benefit from increased visibility with both locals and visitors, while also contributing to a strong, connected, and vibrant Wentworth region.

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) and Wentworth Shire Council have partnered to deliver weather tags from September to December on 99.5 HitFM and 97.9 Triple M Sunraysia. This investment leads to an opportunity for operators to buy in at a corporate rate and add to the campaign.
