Project Update: Nob Road Formation & Drainage Works

Council is completing 10km of formation and drainage works at the southern end of Nob Road. These upgrades are vital for building up low-lying areas to prevent water ponding and to reduce closures during the wet season. 🌧️

The project is 50/50 funded by the Regional Emergency Road Repair Fund (RERRF) and Roads to Recovery programs.

A further 4.8km of re-sheeting is scheduled for completion this financial year.

Please drive carefully around heavy machinery and follow traffic directions. Thank you for your patience as these works improve our shire’s road network.

Plan ahead for your chance to bag a swag this summer

Council is supporting the Transport for NSW Plan B – Win A Swag initiative, encouraging everyone to plan how they will get home safely if they choose to drink while celebrating this summer.

The campaign highlights that even a few drinks can affect your driving. By planning a safe way home, you will be making the right choice for yourself and others on the road.

Throughout December and January, patrons at participating venues across western NSW can scan a QR code and enter for the chance to win a swag valued at around $250 by simply sharing their Plan B for getting home safely.
