Changed traffic conditions on George Chaffey Bridge at Buronga

Transport for NSW wishes to advise motorists of changed traffic conditions on the George Chaffey Bridge that crosses the Murray River between Buronga and Mildura for essential maintenance work to be carried out.

Single lane closures will be in place to carry out maintenance to the bridge joints to provide a stronger and safer bridge.

To limit the impacts to motorists, work will be carried out weeknights from 9:00pm to 6:00am from Monday 29 May to Friday 9 June, weather permitting. 

Traffic control will be in place to safely guide pedestrians, road users and oversize and overmass vehicles through the work zone.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, allow an extra 10 minutes travel time and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
