Manager Waste and Recycling Services

Full time permanent position 

Wentworth Shire Council is seeking the services of a passionate leader with demonstrated experience to lead our operational team of waste specialists, to deliver a portfolio of projects to achieve outcomes in accordance with Council’s plan. You will drive the overall operations of the waste services team and ensure effective, safe and efficient delivery of program objectives relating to Council’s waste services. Your accountabilities will include but not limited to operating as a part of the overall management team to establish and implement Council’s strategic direction, assisting with implementation of budgets, preparing reports and decision recommendations within specified legislative timeframes, and implementing business plans and work schedules.

The position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a three-month probation period and has a commencement salary range between $135,246.80 and $145,646.01 (dependent on skills, experience and qualifications) plus 11.5% superannuation. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a fit for work assessment along with a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
