Wentworth Shire Council is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our Roads team to assist in road maintenance and construction activities.
The Labourer/Plant Operator (Roads) role is responsible for the maintenance of Council Roads and facilities across the Shire. With some of the duties including road patching and maintenance works, guide post and signage maintenance.
The preferred candidate will have good oral and written communication skills, ability to work overtime and away from home from time to time and the ability to record maintenance activities via tablet or laptop.

The position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a three-month probation period and has a commencing salary of $50,194.93 plus 10.5% superannuation. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a fit for work assessment along with a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
