Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week as maintenance work takes place on Abbotsford Bridge across the Murray River at Curlwaa.

Work on the bridge started in early March to improve road safety, and the final stage of this work will be carried out from next week, which involves painting the bridge.

Work will be carried out from Monday 29 June between 9am to 4pm on weekdays with intermittent delays of up to 20 minutes and is expected to be completed by Friday 3 July, weather permitting.

Transport for NSW will avoid delays during peak traffic times including school bus hours, and emergency services will be able to cross the bridge at all times.

Electronic signs will remain in place while work is under way and roads users are advised to follow all speed limits and the direction of traffic controllers and signs.

Transport for NSW thanks the community for its patience while work is carried out.
