Additional Watering of Important Community Assets

The Wentworth Shire Council has commenced increased watering of high profile community assets in accordance with the guidelines from the Department of Water & Energy.

Community assets can now be watered on a limited basis or increased watering can apply in some circumstances.

The Shire has been given the go ahead and the following assets can now be watered;

  • James King Park, Gol Gol. Top of bank only.
  • Midway Centre. Selected high profile areas.
  • Tourist Bay Buronga.
  • Pooncaire Park, Pooncarie.
  • Tourism Centre, Wentworth.
  • Wharf Park, Wentworth
  • Fotherby Park.
  • Darling Street, streetscape, shopping centre.
  • Junction Park
  • Sturt Park, Dareton
  • Moreton Bay Fig Trees, Wentworth
  • London Plane Trees, Wentworth
  • O’Donnell Park, Curlwaa
  • Alcheringa Oval
  • Dareton Netball Courts and Oval
  • All Cemeteries – Wentworth, Coomealla, Gol Gol and Pooncarie
  • Wentworth, pool grounds
  • Dareton, Pool grounds

Council staff will monitor watering of areas frequently
