Animal Registration

Under new legislation to the Companion Animal Act 1998 it is compulsory to have all dogs and cats born or who have changed owners since 1st July 1999 lifetime registered and permanently identified (microchipped).

Microchipping can be arranged by contacting Wentworth Shire Council. For an appointment or any further information please Council (03) 5027 5027.

As a pet owner it is your responsibility to keep your dog on your property or when in public under effective control. If your dog is caught at large in a public place and not under effective control Council can and will impound your dog.
