Hard Waste Kerbside Collection

The Wentworth Shire Council will be introducing for the first time a Domestic Hardwaste kerbside collection commencing on Monday 2nd November 2009 and will service all areas currently being serviced with a 240 Litre bin in the Wentworth Shire.
The Wentworth Shire would like to give all residents the opportunity to dispose of those old unwanted fridges, stoves, beds, mattresses, TVs, Lounge suites, chairs & tables and other hardwaste items that have been collecting dust over the years. So start by having a Spring cleanout prior to your pick up.
Located below is a schedule of what days apply to your town for normal waste collection and the day your hard collection will be picked up. All refrigerators must be laid face down with the door closed and in contact with the ground surface.
This will be a Domestic hard waste collection only. No commercial hard waste will be collected.

Friday 6th November 2009 | The volume of hard waste must not exceed 2 x 2 x 1 cubic metres per address. The following waste categories are excluded:
Hazardous Waste, chemicals, oils, fuel and other liquid waste, broken glass.
Greenwaste, soils and ashes.
Car bodies, Tyres.
