Local Emergency Management Officer Appointed

Mr Tony Cheng, Council’s Director Sustainable Infrastructure, was appointed Local Emergency Management Officer (LEMO) by Council at its meeting on 24 June 2009.

Mr Cheng joined the Council management team in February 2009.

Mr Peter Kozlowski, General Manager, advised that one of his objectives for 09/10 was to review the way
emergency management is handled by the Wentworth Shire Council.

“I believe the review will see Council operate more efficiently internally and more effectively externally in conjunction with Council’s emergency management stakeholders.  I hope to be able to finalise the review early in 2010.
