Friends of Wentworth Library Service
BE A "FRIEND"
What is the "Friends"?
A community organisation which helps support the
Library, its functions and services.
Who are the "Friends"?
YOU and any community member or organisation
interested in promoting the Library.
What do "Friends" do?
Serve as a means of communication between the Library
and the community, in areas such as book week activities;
children's holiday actiities.
Organise community cultural activities in the Library, such as
book and play readings, poetry & port nights, family history
information evenings.
Give practical help to the Library staff.
Assist the Shire Council for the provision of Library services
and facilities. "Friends" has had input into the
decisions to open Buronga/Gol Gol Library and to construct the
new Wentworth Library.
Why be a "Friend"?
For a small membership fee, you can join the F.O.L.
and attend meetings and "Busy Bee" evenings, where
people of all ages and diverse backgrounds sharing a common
interest, enjoy "Friends" activities and each others
company.
