STATEMENT OF HERITAGE SIGNIFICANCE
Architecture/Environment:
A timber famed hall clad with corrugated iron sheeting. Contains a hall with stage, kitchen and preparation rooms. The hall has plain wooden doors and louvered windows. The structure is slightly elevated, being set on wooden posts. The hall is set on the banks of the Anabranch adjacent to tennis court and sports ground.
History:
The Anabranch Hall provided a vital venue for social interaction for persons living in the isolated Anabranch district. Dances and sport days, utilising the adjacent tennis courts and bough shed are popular. Local interest classes, such as furniture restoration are also held in the hall.
