STATEMENT OF HERITAGE SIGNIFICANCE
Architecture/Environment:
A brick dwelling with stucco rendering which has a high multiple gable roof clad with corrugated iron. The roof entends over a verandah supported by tapered pylons. An unusual feature is the small ‘attic’ room with timber fretwork gable and long rectangular window divided into four small panels. The homestead is located on the northern banks of the Murray river.
History:
Kulkurna was a resumed holding from Lake Victoria Station, settled in 1894.
