STATEMENT OF HERITAGE SIGNIFICANCE
Architecture/Environment:
History:
A town site was surveyed at Moorna during the era of administrative headquarters operating on the property. It was once suggested that the site be chosen for the capital of Australia in the years of Federation. The township was never erected. Only survey marks remain on the site today as a reminder of the proposed town.
Recommendation:
Maintenance of survey works.
