Architecture/Environment:
A large masonry dwelling with a high hip iron roof displaying a centre front gable adorned with a timber finial. The wrap around verandah has a separate straight pitched iron roof supported by turned verandah posts. Large decorative wooden spandrel brackets adorn the verandah. The panelled door is set in a timber casement with top and side lights. There are four tall slender plain brick chimneys protruding from the sides. The dwelling has some minor exterior modifications. The front curtilage is defined by a low cement rendered fence with square piers and an iron rail. The building is an impressive example of the typical Wentworth dwelling design and the facade is an important component of the Sandwych Street character.
