STATEMENT OF HERITAGE SIGNIFICANCE
Architecture/Environment:
A large attractive single storey dwelling with gambrel roof. The corrugated iron clad roof extends over a front half side verandah supported by timber balustrade. Side lights and fan light surround the panelled door. The brick chimney stacks have terracotta chimney pots. The dwelling is located at the rear of the post office and faces Sandwych Street. The high aluminium fence is out of character with the dwelling and largely prevents a view of the residence.
History:
Recommendation:
Conservation by inclusion within Local Environmental Plan. Erection of a fence more sympathetic with the architectural style of the building.
