The Wentworth Shire Council has received 3 nominations for the position of Councillor for the By-election to be held 5 December 2009. At 2pm the Returning Officer for the elections, Carol Rowlands, conducted the ballot paper draw in Broken Hill. The following were the results of the ballot paper draw:- BROOK, Bill (Independent) RIBARITS, Cherie (Independent) HEYWOOD, Steve (Independent) Voting in Local Government elections is compulsory for all electors included on the residential roll.
