| Young Endeavour ScholarshipWentworth Shire Council is pleased to announce they will be sponsoring a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience on board the ‘Young Endeavour’ for a young resident of the Shire. Mayor Marg Thomson said “The Young Endeavour experience offers an opportunity for young people to become crew members and learn a range of new skills whilst being fully supervised and supported by the on-board Royal Australian Navy crew”. The Shire will cover the full cost of the berth on board the Tall Ship Young Endeavour and there are options available for voyage dates. Applications are open for young people aged between 16 years to 23 years and applicants must meet all the selection criteria. “We know this experience is valuable for young people to learn communication, team building and leadership skills but it’s also about meeting new people, new challenges and having fun,” said Mayor Marg Thomson.
