| EventsEvent Starter GuideThe Shire has recently taken delivery of the Event Starter Guide - a resource for organising events in New South Wales. The 52-page guide contains generic, top-level information on what is required, who to talk to and where to seek further guidance to produce a safe and successful event. The guide covers topics such as safety and security, health, traffic and transport, communication, volunteers, fundraising and sponsorship. Those people organising public, outdoor events in New South Wales should particularly find this resource helpful. The response from Councils and community event organisers to date has been extremely positive with feedback indicating some Councils are using the guide as a base for developing their own guide to events in their LGA.
