National Desexing Month

Wentworth Shire Council is urging all pet owners to play a vital role in preventing unwanted kittens and puppies, by having their pet desexed as a part National Desexing Month. Last year approximately 180 kittens and cats and 343 puppies and dogs were collected as strays or surrenders at the Buronga Animal Shelter alone.

This year Benetook Veterinary Clinic are offering discount desexing for the month of July and Mildura Veterinary Hospital are offering the same deal in August. Appointments are to be made directly with the veterinary clinic.

Desexed pets not only reduce unwanted litters, they are eligible to be registered at a reduced rate.
