Draft Wentworth Child Care Study

Wentworth Shire Council has conducted a study to determine the demand for child care services in the town of Wentworth.

The Draft Wentworth Child Care Study included a review of:

  • relevant demographic statistics of Wentworth
  • child care options available in Australia
  • current operating facilities in the Wentworth Local Government Area
  • a community petition submitted to Wentworth Shire Council
  • child care opportunities in Wentworth

The Draft Wentworth Child Care Study will be available for public viewing during office hours from Friday 31 March 2017 until Friday 28 April 2017 at the following locations:

  • Wentworth:  Council Office, 26-28 Adelaide Street
  • Wentworth:  Civic Centre, Darling Street
  • Wentworth:  Wentworth Library, Murray Street
  • Buronga:  Buronga Library, Chapman Street
  • Dareton:  Dareton Library, Millie Street 

A community consultation drop in session will be held in the RSL Meeting Room, Civic Centre, Darling Street, Wentworth on Wednesday 19 April 2017 from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm. Council staff will be in attendance to discuss the draft study, obtain community feedback and answer any questions from community members.

Written submissions close 28 April 2017 and can be forwarded to Council by mail or by email to council@wentworth.nsw.gov.au.
