Member for Murray Austin Evans has announced three organisations in Wentworth will benefit from funding through the NSW Government’s 2017 Community Building Partnership Program.

Wentworth Area Skate Park Committee will receive $20,000 towards the construction of a skate park facility.

Wentworth Angling Club will receive $6800 towards the construction of a toilet with disabled access and a connection to waste treatment plant.

Wentworth District Football Club will receive $20,000 towards the development of a second oval at George Gordon Sporting Complex.

Mr Evans said the Community Building Partnership Program aims to create more vibrant and inclusive communities and deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes.

“Building and restoring local infrastructure in Wentworth not only provides the community with better facilities, it also supports local construction jobs and businesses, which is a welcome boost to our communities,” Mr Evans said.

Mr Evans congratulated the Skate Park Committee, the Angling Club and the Football Club and is pleased this funding will help community groups to make a positive difference in the local area.

“I look forward to seeing the benefits to our communities as projects are undertaken and put into use in areas like Wentworth,” Mr Evans said.
